Drive pulleys

A drive pulley of the belt conveyor puts the conveyor belt in motion, determines its motion direction and is charged in tension.

A belt conveyor pulley is composed of the following parts: a cylindrical shell, a shaft, a cast steel disk and a clamping setg. Depending on operational conditions the pulley can be additionally coated with protective materials (lagging). The lagging increases the equipment serviceability due to its better contact with the conveyor belt, it protects the pulley surface against mechanical damages. It can be made in the form of removable plates, manufactured from ceramics, rubber-ceramics. The lagging can be permanent too. It can be done upon the customer’s request.

Drive pulleys of Akonit can be manufactured with different diameters, according to individual requirements — customers drawings.
